Mondays, January 9 - February 27 (no class 1/16 or 2/20); 6 weeks 3:45pm - 5:15pm $115 (includes materials)
This class will help students develop their painting and drawing skills through weekly technique demonstrations, material experimentation and projects which focus on a variety of subject matter. We will explore ways that value, line, color, perspective and design principles can enhance a work of art. This will be a fun and relaxed introduction for students who feel less confident in their abilities as well as an opportunity for students with more experience to develop their skills.

This one afternoon workshop is designed for those people who want to improve their understanding of color theory as a way of improving their ability to mix colors, create dynamic compositions and convey mood in their work. We will spend the 3 hours creating our own color wheels, value swatches and other mixing tests as well as exploring the impact of colors when they are placed together through a variety of painting and/or drawing exercises.
